Greetings to you all across the great expanse of the internet. This blog post is to help you crochet your very own whimsical wardrobe for warmer weather. So far there are only 5, but rest assured that as I design more crochet patterns I will add them to this post. These crochet projects are probably not the most suitable for absolute beginner crocheters but hey, at least they’re easy to undo. 1. Crochet Hair Accessories
This is actually a 2 in 1, lol. But both of these fairycore crochet patterns are in 1 blog post so that’s the reason why. First there is a leaf scrunchie for those hot summer days when you just can’t deal with having your (long) hair touch your neck. Or is that just me? Anyway, let’s move on. Next there is a crochet headpiece with little flowers which will definitely give you those whimsical elvish vibes.

2. Flower Sun Hat
Of course, since it’s summer after all, you’ll most probably be outdoors a great deal so you’ll need a sun hat to protect your skin from the harsh rays. This hat still has the typical floral element of course, just on the crown of the hat rather than on the brim. Since the crown of the flower sun hat is on the complex side with the lace detail using chain stitches, I kept the brim simple and just used the single crochet stitch. The brim can always be made wider or smaller depending on your preference.

3. Lace-up Top with 2 Flowers
I made the first version of this top like, 4 years ago or something way before I had actually started this blog. As you can see, the first version is made with a variegated yarn in shades of blue and sea green and doesn’t include the lace up element that I decided to do later so that the top would be adjustable. The second version is made with purple and if you want to see it you’ll have to go to the blog post. And yes, I know the placement of the flowers on this top is a tad…provocative shall we say. But, as they say, you only live once. And this isn’t hurting anyone.

4. Spring Flower Wreath
Just in case you want to give your décor an affordable update for the warmer weather, here is this free crochet step by step tutorial for a flower wreath. This way you can bring the spring into your home in a way that lasts longer than cut flowers. Although I have to admit that real flowers do win when it comes to fragrance. These little bell flowers are so cute I just had to make them in this pastel yellow, but I’m sure they would look equally as cute in many other colours you choose.

5. Top with a Heart Cut-out
This top, as the title suggests, features a heart cut-out in a very…flirty place shall we say. This tutorial is probably more suitable for you if your crochet skill level is that of an advanced beginner or intermediate. I would recommend that you use at least 2 different colours of yarn to emphasise the heart but obviously when you create your own you can use as many or as little colours as you want.
