Hello, and welcome to some more FREE crochet patterns. These crochet projects would be perfect as gifts for the fairy in your life. Crochet hair scrunchies are so useful for fairies with long hair, and for those with shorter hair a headband with flowers is lovely. All of these crochet hair accessories are quick to make, you’ll be able to complete one in less than an hour. As long as you are a more advanced crocheter. For the beginners these projects are definitely doable but will probably take longer, although with practice you will get faster don’t worry!
Please note that this pattern is written using US crochet terminology.

Fairycore Crochet Scrunchie with Leaves

You will need:
- Approximately 15g of yarn
- A hair tie or 17.5cm of thin elastic sewn into a loop
- A crochet hook in the correct size for your yarn (mine is 3.5mm)
- A tapestry needle
Crochet Instructions
Round 1
Make a slip knot and crochet 50 SC around a hair tie or thin elastic sewn into a loop.
Round 2
Crochet another 50 SC.
Round 3
Now for the leaf, CH 10. (If you are making other leaves start by making a slip knot and pulling it through the stitch where you want the leaf to be).
Make a SC in the 2nd chain from the hook, then 1 HDC, 1 DC, 2 DC in 1 stitch, 1 TR, 2 DC in 1 stitch, 1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC. Now repeat from the * in the loops from the chain at the bottom of the row of stitches you just made, ending off with a SS. Then your 1st leaf is complete and you can end off.
I made a slip knot and then made another leaf every 5 stitches so there were 10 leaves in total. And then I had A LOT of loose ends to weave in with my tapestry needle (sigh).
Fairycore Crochet Headband with Flowers

You will need:
- Approximately 15g of yarn for the headband
- Approximately 5g of yarn for the flowers
- A crochet hook in the correct size for your yarn (mine is 3mm)
- A tapestry needle
Crochet Instructions for the Basic Headband
Round 1
Make a slip knot and CH 116, or however many chains you need to fit around your head.
Round 2
Make 116 SCs. You can always repeat this round if you want your headband to be wider.
Round 3
CH 30, skip 22 stiches, make a SS in the 23rd stitch, then repeat from the * 4 more times until the round is complete. For the last repeat you will have to skip 23 stitches and do the SS in the 24th stitch. I chose to divide the number of stitches in my headband by 5, but you can divide by any number you choose.
Then end off and your basic headband is complete.
How to Crochet a Flower
Round 1
Make a magic circle and then crochet 10 SC, and close the round with a SS.
Round 2
CH 2, then make a DC in the same stitch, then CH 1. Make another 2 DC also in this first stitch, then a SS in the following stitch.
In the next stitch, *crochet 2 DC, CH 1, then crochet another 2 DC in the same stitch, and do a SS in the next stitch. Repeat from the * 3 more times until the round is complete. Then you can end off! Repeat both rounds until you have your desired amount of flowers.
Putting Together the Fairycore Headband
Use the tapestry needle to attach the flowers to the headband where the chains attach to the main band.
