Step 1

How to Actually Crochet the Fairycore Flower Lace Beanie

Round 1

Make a magic circle and CH 4. *Then make 1 TR3TOG and CH 2. Repeat from the * 5 more times before closing the round with a SS.

Round 2

CH 5 (this counts as your 1st stitch), then *CH another 4 and make an incomplete TR2TOG in the 5th chain (or in the beginning of the 4 chains if this is a repeat). Then make an incomplete TR3TOG in the next stitch after the chains, skip the next 2 stitches, then make another incomplete TR3TOG in the next stitch. You should have a total of 9 loops on your hook, so YO and pull through all of them.

Now CH 4and then make a TR2TOG in the stitch that’s holding the 9 loops (this is the centre of the flower).

In the stitch after the one in which you did the 2nd TR3TOG, make 1 TR. Then CH 2 and, in the next stitch, crochet another TR.

Repeat from the * 2 more times before closing the round with a SS.

Round 3

CH 9, *then make TR3TOG in the centre of the flower from the previous round, then CH 1 to secure the petal. Then CH 4 and make another TR3TOG in the same flower centre and CH 1 to secure it.

Then make 1 TR right where the horizontal petal ends, then CH 4 and make an incomplete TR2TOG. Make an incomplete TR3TOG in the same stitch as the TR, then skip 3 stitches and make another incomplete TR3TOG in the TR from the previous round. YO and pull through all 9 loops you have on your hook.

CH 4 and make a TR2TOG. Then CH 1 to secure it and make a TR in the same stitch as the last TR3TOG and CH 1.

Repeat from the * 2 more times, but when doing the last repeat, leave out the TR. Just close the round with a SS.
